Wherever we’ve travelled, we have always sought out local breweries and distilleries, not just for the drinks, but for the people, stories, and creativity behind them. Growing up on the prairies and surrounded by farms, we developed a strong connection to the land and the farmers who steward it. Grist Malt grew from a desire to support those growers while supplying craft beverage producers who value quality and consistency.
Those experiences reinforced our belief that great beverages are built on strong communities and reliable ingredients. Grist Malt was created to connect prairie grown grains with the brewers and distillers who transform them into exceptional beverages.

Our base malts are produced in collaboration with Prairie Malt, an established Canadian maltster located in Saskatchewan’s renowned barley growing region. With more than 50 years of experience, Prairie Malt produces consistent, high performance malts trusted by brewers and distillers throughout North America.
Working together with trusted packaging partners and regional warehouse facilities, we ensure our malt is delivered reliably from malthouse to brewhouse.
